Irvine, Calif. – The Riders of Kawasaki (ROK) and Medical Air Services Association (MASA) are pleased to announce an agreement that offers ROK members life-saving medical air services every day of the week.
“The value and benefit of our partnership with MASA is plain and simple,” said ROK Club Coordinator Derek Natvig. “MASA provides ROK members with yet another industry leading service to help assure them safe, confident and hassle-free motorcycle experiences.”
MASA membership can save ROK riders tens of thousands of dollars. If a MASA member has an accident or becomes ill and requires emergency air medical transportation, MASA will arrange for transportation to the nearest medical facility equipped to handle their condition. Emergency toll-free telephone numbers are imprinted on the back of a wallet-sized membership card for easy reference.
“MASA membership is perfectly suited to the active lifestyle of ROK members,” explained MASA Motorcycle Division Director Keith Knapp. “If a serious accident or illness occurs while traveling which requires MASA’s services, MASA will not only transport members to the appropriate medical facility, we will also get the member and their motorcycle or other vehicle back home.”
What’s more, Knapp added, members don’t have to be traveling by motorcycle to receive the benefits of MASA membership. Even if a MASA member is hospitalized at home and needs specialized medical treatment that is not available locally, MASA will transport them by air ambulance to the hospital that can best see to their needs.
