Ask the Editors: Need Me A Small UTV

Dear ATVC: I had a Honda Pilot years ago and want to get back into the sport. Modern UTVs look very intriguing to me but are overkill for the type of riding I plan to do. They all seem to be too expensive, too big or too fast for my needs. Do any companies offer a smaller UTV that is closer to the dune buggies of yesteryear?

You are in luck, Polaris has decided to tackle the exact market you speak of in the form of their Sportsman ACE- a single seater on-demand all-wheel drive UTV powered by a 32-horsepower ProStar EFI engine.

The MSRP of this all-new machine (which hit dealers in February) is $7,499 and while it is the first of the single-seat UTVs to hit the market, we get the feeling other manufacturers will follow suit as this has been a niche largely ignored before now.
