Ask the Editors: Is There An Alternative for Polaris AGL?

You are in luck; after placing calls to many of the leading lubricant manufacturers, we’ve discovered that most do offer a direct alternative to the Polaris branded oil. Here are a few:
Klotz: KE970
Royal Purple: Synchromax (part #01512)
Amsoil: ATH
Maxima: MTL 85
Spectro: Platinum 75w90 GL-1
Of course most of these oil makers do remind that using anything other than the OEM recommendation fluids could potentially void a warranty but we’re guessing that isn’t a major concern for your 1995.
