Ask the Editors: Torque Specs on a 110cc ATV
Dear ATVC: Can anyone advise me on the cylinder head bolt torque settings for a 110cc Chinese quad? I’ve no idea the make of the engine, it has no markings at all. scottbrockwell
One of the many dangers of purchasing an off-brand ATV is this, the fact that oftentimes there are absolutely no markings or identifiers stamped on the machine or its components, making tracking down reliable information nearly impossible.
However, a majority of the small-bore off-brand engines out there are derivatives of expired Honda patents in some capacity. As such the following chart should get you in the ballpark:
