A Rack-Mounted Extra Pair of Hands

undefinedATV’s make very effective work and hunting vehicles, combining superior traction, great maneuverability and a high power to weight ratio. These qualities allow ATV’s to reach remote areas and perform in rugged conditions where other vehicles wouldn’t dare tread. One of their few shortcomings is lack of cargo carrying space and secure means of transporting items. Sure, they have racks but how many times have you had to backtrack to find an item that worked it’s way loose and fell off? Firearms and fishing poles are just a few items that would fare much better being safely secured to an ATV rather than bouncing down the trail behind it.
Innovative Products markets one of the best devices we have seen for safe and secure attachment of items to your ATV–the Fin Grip Gun and Bow Holder. The Fin Grips come with a fully adjustable base making installation a snap regardless of where and how you desire to mount them–we like that. The holders are lined with soft rubber fins that help hold your items and also cushion them from marring. A thick rubber band is attached to the holder for secure latching. They can be mounted on racks, handlebars or any tubular surface. We chose a front rack location; installation took minutes.
undefined    During real world use, transporting everything from rifles to shovels and equipment, the Fin Grips worked great. We securely transported a variety of items of different shapes and sizes. The only possible shortcoming we see is the eventual breaking of the rubber band used to cinch down the items. The band is soft and flexible to conform to different sized items, however, keep in mind that the soft rubber is vulnerable to sharp metal edges. Replacements are available from Innovative Products but we thought we should pass on our observations.
What do we think? We think it is a great product at a fair price and have no hesitation recommending it to others looking for a quality gun/equipment holder.
