TCX Boots, a global leader in the design and manufacture of motorcycle footwear, has signed an exclusive agreement with MICHELIN to fit their premium riding boots with MICHELIN high-performance technical soles.

Through a mutual analysis and development program, both companies will adapt features and innovations unique to Michelin tires to the soles of some TCX on-road and adventure boot models. Superior grip, increased durability and maximum comfort are but a few key features riders will appreciate most.

Collaboration by Michelin and TCX research and development teams is already manifested in products offering maximum performance in the toughest conditions.

Leading the charge for 2015 is an all new and restyled TCX ADVENTURE INFINITY EVO GORE-TEX boot. For many years the Infinity EVO has been a leading choice for long distance boot for both on- and off-road riders and it’s new Michelin technical sole is inspired by technology incorporated in Michelin Anakee III tires. This ideal tread pattern and a special rubber compound encourages the outflow of water, mud and detritus while delivering ultimate grip and increased stability regardless of weather or surface conditions.

Another exciting collaboration is the TCX URBAN PERFORMANCE range. The new X-CUBE EVO WP and X-SQUARE PLUS are TCX offerings designed and targeted toward riders who rely upon their motorcycles for daily short-haul or medium-haul urban journeys. The high-tech outsoles inspired by Michelin Pilot Road 3 and Pro grip 4 tires feature a high-impact tread pattern and technology affording excellent water drainage capacity, maximum grip and superior slippery surface performance under the toughest of conditions.

Marco Poloni, Sales/Marketing Director and Head of TCX R&D states “We believe that the innovative combination of Michelin technical soles on our TCX boots is a winning formula and we are extremely proud to position our brand with the prestigious image that Michelin enjoys throughout the world.”

“Our mission is to transfer technology from Michelin tires to the design of soles for high-tech footwear,” states Ambrogio Merlo, Managing Director of the outsole partnership between Michelin and TCX. “Research, technology and innovation are the values we wish to demonstrate through our partnership with TCX and there is an immediate synchronization of ideas and goals. Together, TCX and Michelin are geared to provide riders with increasingly higher levels of grip in dry and wet conditions alike.”
