Until The Next Gen Honda TRX Arrives: Meet the CRQF

It’s easy to take for granted the fact that we can head down to our local dealerships any day of the week and purchase a bone stock ATV capable of not only entering into but winning competitively. Just a few short years ago most of the manufacturers had pulled the plug on offering performance quads altogether. So did the ATV community at large take that to mean ATV racing was no more and instead focus their efforts on underwater basket weaving? No chance! Being the resilient lot of enthusiasts of which we are renown, ATV racers built up what boiled down to custom machines based on the extinct Honda 250R 2-stroke.

This history lesson is important because some things never change. While it’s true we have stock performance ATVs right on dealer floors today, some performance junkies grow tired of waiting for the OEMs to update their quads to the absolute cutting edge. Rather than sit around and complain about it, they take action.

Enter Gerben Vruggink- an off-road racer who developed a machine from the ground up built with some of the best materials and parts available on the market including the Honda CRF and TRX, Goldspeed, Roll Design, Dominator, Renthal etc.
Quad
Gerben literally built a company around the machine and named them both CRQF. The chassis of the machine is built by CRQF in their factory using chrome moly tubing resulting in a strong, ergonomic and lightweight chassis.
Frame
Powering the quad is the dual-exhaust 2015 Honda CRF 450R engine.

Gerben Vruggink drew upon his experience with buggies and quads when developing CRQF including his participation in the hardest rally in the world: Dakar.

Here’s where things get really interesting- the CRQF isn’t some one-off machine built for an upper echelon racer but rather a quad that anyone serious about winning can have built. Final pricing and delivery across the pond are issues best worked out with Gerben Vruggink but he provides all of his contact info to make it possible at his CRQF website.
