For the second year in a row, the Mystik Lubricants Terracross Championship will be presented by Polaris RZR. The series, known as rough, tough and muddy racing, invites some of the most recognized power sports and action sports athletes, such as Daryl Rath, Doug Gust, Chris Burandt, Paul Thacker and others to tackle some of the toughest, man-made tracks imaginable.

“Polaris is excited to be part of Terracross for its second year,” said Jason DiFuccia, marketing manager for Polaris RZR. “The Terracross tracks provide an incredible challenge to the racers and are perfect to showcase the capabilities of our products.”

Polaris RZR vehicles will be used exclusively in the “Pro Polaris RZR,” “Hero Adaptive” and “Women’s” classes, with the Scrambler XP 9850 H.O. being the majority ATV in the “ATV” class. Terracross athletes will battle in pursuit of the Terracross Championship at three national events during the circuit’s 2013 racing season. Fans can catch the action live or aired on CBS Sports Network. The 2013 schedule is as follows:

August 10 & 11-Elk River, Minn., ERX Motor Park
September 7 & 8-North Branch, Minn., Hay Days
October TBD-Mystik Terracross Finals

“With Polaris being the industry leader and innovative expert of the Side x Side market Terracross is privileged to have them on board as a partner,” said Joe Duncan, Terracross Sport Organizer. “By building a machine we can take off the showroom floor of a dealer and go straight to the race track it creates an accessible and cost effective way of going racing.”

We’ve been guilty of saying that these are good times to be an ATV/ UTV enthusiast and, despite an economy littered with terms like “fiscal cliff” and “tax hikes”, Polaris proves we’re right once again.

Polaris has announced that they have extended their already unbelievably versatile product line by introducing a new, limited edition RZR XP 900 H.O.: The Jagged X Edition!

“We’re very excited to offer the Jagged X Edition which provides a whole new customer solution featuring the most popular options straight from the factory,” said Craig Scanlon, general manager, Recreational Off-Road Vehicles for Polaris. “This vehicle is the most complete RZR ever built, combining the ultimate in performance, comfort and incredible styling.”

The RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition has the most power, most comfort and most premium options ever offered on a RZR. The vehicle features the first high output engine on a RZR, a 94 horsepower ProStar 900 Twin EFI engine coupled with a stainless steel SLP exhaust; a long wheelbase for a smoother ride; comfort features such as premium Walker Evans 2.5 inch Body Rear Shocks, Electronic Power Steering and PRP seats; and premium features such as a custom cab frame, factory-installed doors, dual removable cargo boxes, Bighorn tires on painted Walker Evans beadlock rims and a Jagged X-inspired graphics package.

“Off-road racing is incredible proving grounds for our machines and Polaris has been working closely with one of the premier off-road racing teams, Jagged X, for a number of years,” said Donna Beadle, Polaris Off-Road Racing Team Manager. “Last year, for the introduction of the RZR XP 4 900, Jagged X raced a nearly-stock car for the Best in the Desert Series. The successful season, which included five podiums in six races, showed the capability of the unit, provided a whole new customer solution and is the inspiration for the RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition.”

To give the new RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition more power, Polaris took the class-leading 88 horsepower ProStar 900 that’s been powering the RZR XP 900 and RZR XP 4 and made it a high output engine. Changes include new profiles on the intake and exhaust camshafts, and the addition of stiffer valve springs. These changes were paired with a new engine calibration and a stainless steel SLP exhaust with dual outlets for increased exhaust flow and an aggressive race-inspired sound. To accommodate the power increase, the clutches were updated with new weights to provide increased acceleration performance. The ProStar 900 H.O. now boasts 94 HP, with acceleration on par with the RZR XP 900 and 17 percent faster acceleration (0-60mph) than the RZR XP 4 900.

Along with having more power, The RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition is the most comfortable side-by-side available due to its 26-inch longer wheelbase for a smoother ride and Walker Evans 2.5” Body Rear Shocks. For comfort in the cabin, Polaris added deep-bolstered, five-point, harness-ready PRP seats, the most-comfortable seats on the market, an easily-adjustable driver seat and more than an inch of additional legroom. To reduce rider fatigue and steering effort, the vehicle also features electronic power steering to tackle the toughest terrain.

As the most-premium RZR ever, the RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition offers thousands of dollars in factory-installed add-ons for incredible visual appeal and even more performance. Along with its black, blue and white Jagged X-inspired graphics, the vehicle sports matching factory-installed doors, blue painted suspension springs and valve cover, a race-inspired, color-matched, custom cab frame with integrated rear cab frame extension that wraps around the rear bed and Bighorn tires on Black painted Walker Evans beadlock wheels with color-matched beadlock rings. For added storage, the unit also features weather-sealed, dual cargo boxes in the rear cab area that have lockable lids and are easily removed.

The RZR XP 900 H.O. Jagged X Edition will be available at Polaris dealerships in very limited quantities in late January.

Polaris Announces 2013 ATV Line

July 31st, 2012 by Jason Giacchino

With the 2013 model year fast approaching, it’s with great enthusiasm that we’re able to pass along what Polaris has in the works for their extensive ATV lineup. New ATV’s for youngn’s and more experienced riders abound. Check ‘em out!

High Lifter Products Inc., the leader in custom aftermarket ATV accessories and products, today announced the newest product to help battle overheating caused by clogged radiators – the Radiator Relocation Kit for Polaris models.

The stock location of Ranger radiators can easily clog and overheat from riding in muddy conditions. To tackle this problem, High Lifter’s research and development team relocated the radiator to a higher position under the hood to prevent clogging from mud. Additionally, the team included a shroud between the hood and radiator to ensure that the radiator receives fresh air from the outside environment instead of re-circulated air from under the hood. The kit reuses the stock radiator and includes a custom scooped hood available in black or carbon-fiber color.

“The development of the Radiator Relocation Kit for Polaris Ranger models was a huge step for us and for UTV owners,” said Scott Smith, owner of High Lifter Products. “Previously, the few options available to keep UTV radiators out of the mud were unsafe and dangerous – such as relocating the radiator behind the driver/passenger headrests. With our solution, Ranger owners can move the radiator higher without risking the safety of the driver or passenger.”

The all-new Radiator Relocation Kit for Polaris Ranger models is available for Polaris Ranger 500/700/800/900 models at $339.95. Specific applications can be found here.
