When it comes to harnessing the power of the digital age in off-roading, the first that may come to mind is electronic fuel injection, tuneable fuel maps or digital ignitions but the fact of the matter is the popularity of the cell phone literally puts the power of the world’s digital network right at our fingertips.

To that end we’ve been stoked about a 100% free app called ATVESCAPE for iPhone & Android devices.

Currently on Version 3, the app puts the entire ATV/UTV industry in the palm of your hand. ATV Escape determines where you are on the planet then compiles everything in the area that could possibly be of interest: 650+ trails and tracks, 15,000+ ATV UTV/Dealers, 70,000+ lodgings, rentals, events, special offers, and more.

If that weren’t enough it gathers up and makes accessible the latest ATV news, reviews, articles, pics and vids from around the web to keep you “in the loop” even when you’re busy tearing up your favorite loop.

More info and direct download links can be found here, or you can search for “ATVESCAPE” in the App Store or Google Play to download the app for free”.

Sure, there are better choices for ripping across the water—they’re called jet skis. But maybe you live in Sweden and don’t have a jet ski, because your summer only lasts for like half and hour. So why not fire up the old snowmobile and give it a shot? Sure, there’s always the threat of sinking, but you have to admit, the threat of having to retrieve your submerged snow machine from the depths of a pond makes everything a little more exciting. The action doesn’t start until about a minute into the video—everything up until then is camera trickery and shots of a dog—when the killer soul soundtrack is unfortunately replaced by the all-too-common techno. Enjoy.
