Now we’re going to come right out with it- this ad has a lot going against it! There’s no asking price given, the seller is unclear on the year and it appears the model as well. Lastly the picture is pretty atrocious. So why bother with it at all, you ask? Well your wise ATVC editors know a thing or two about rare machines and can state with the utmost confidence that what we have here is a the ultra rare Yamaha Tri-Z 250 2-stroke race 3-wheeler, possibly a 1986 model.

According to the listing this is a “mid 80s Yamaha 250R 2-stroke race 3-wheeler, with lots of extra parts. Must see.”

While we’re unsure what the seller is looking to get, anyone looking for a rare collector’s machine or just a fan of genuine 2-stroke performance would probably want to give him a call.
