Wild ATV Concept: Ford Forest Fire Fighter

Go to any auto show and concept cars abound. Here in the ATV sector, pickings are much more slim though every once in a while a cool concept vehicle comes across our desks that we simply have to share.

Take this, the Ford Amatoya Offroad Firetruck concept. We can’t help but get excited about some of the features on display here- a heavy duty winch, Baja-style lighting, beefy suspension, big knobbie tires and some forest-fire squashing bits.

Among these, an internal water supply, twin high-pressure water nozzles and thermal imaging cameras so that precious water can be blasted directly where it matters most; at the hottest parts of the fire. Also cool is that it is designed to be operated by a crew of only two.

While it’s highly unlikely this concept will ever progress beyond the cool graphics of the screen, it is fun to imagine the possibilities. To view this one and a whole host of other wild concept vehicles, click here.
