Hello to everyone. Please help me out here. Bought a used 110 for my daughter.. Wanted 1 i could fix up... i got that & a whole lot more. Had to replace the forward gear due to old 1 was shattered, laying in case. During that repair saw scored cyl walls. Blah blah new cyl & piston & rings. Heres issue.. its only got 1 forward & reverse gears. Auto clutch. The damn thing, will light up tires in reverse, but forward is way dif. It bogs & takes long time to get going. & if you try to start going over bump or uphill, might as well take a lunch & check back.. lol. Ive got a new clutch, new carb too. My compression is 150. I locked itt at TDC on compression stroke & put my air nozzle in plug hole, & cant hear obvious leaks. I know reverse is geared lower giving more torque than forward but this is more than that. I havent checked exhaust pipe to see if its restricted. This thing was spitting oil out pipe before. My timing is right on. Otner than exhaust being clogged only other thing i can think of is valves, but wouldnt i have heard air leaking when i blew air in cyl? Or is this how the single speed performs? Im 190lbs. I expect it to not move to good if im on it, but my daughter is 10yrs & cant weigh more than 60lbs. I gotta replace valve seals cause i believe they're letting some oil slip into cyl. Doesnt smoke all the time or badly.
Im looking now for either a 80-125 cc manual clutch 2 stroke w/ gears 1-5 or 125cc 4 stroke with man or aut clutch & multiple forward gears. Can that be be the issue? Only 1 gear, so it sacrifices torque so it can top out higher mph? Help please..
