KMD Shenzhou 150cc vin location?
I have what appears to be a used 2007 KMD Shenzhou 150cc atv. When I went to take a look at it, the seller has never had it titled, and has lost the MCO. (usually not a big deal). When looking at the quad it is spotless. I can not for the life of me, find where they put he vin plate/stamp on this quad. On the nose of the frame, just behind the brush guard is the manufacture plate, which list this as a model type GA017-2. Manufacture no. 07002905. All other previous chinese quad I have purchased in the past, had a vin plate on the frame cross member in between where the tops of the front shock attach.
I cannot find the vin plate on this particular model. Any ideas and help would be appreciated.

I have no idea, but on my Hensim quad the VIN was scribed onto the main frame assembly on the front most vertical frame piece on the right hand side (when sitting on the quad). It would be very hard to see if you didn't know where to look.
I don't where you are, but losing a Manufacturers Certificate or Origin [MCO] is a major headache here in California.

I am in Arizona, and here it is not an issue to get a bonded title, as long as the vehicle has never had a title issued to its vin number. I have scoured the front frame of this quad and cannot find anything other than the manufaturer plate. I have done everythign I can other than freaking out the current owner and taking off all the plastics. I am positive that the number is there an unalter, as the quad is spotless and the power coated fram has zero scratches. This quad was used in the families back yard, and garage kept.

there are 3 places that the VIN could be located. in no particular order either.
the 17 alpha-numeric digits are located either on the underside of the left hand side of the frame (horizontal run below engine), stamped on a metal ID tag on the front or rear of the machine. sometimes it'll show 12 digits stamped and 5 digits that look like a sticker.
OR lastly, it'll be on the vertical downtube of the steering column. that's the only places i've seen the chinese quads place their VINs.
