Default Hisun HS400 4x4

I bought a Hisun HS400 4x4 ATV in Jan 2012. About a 4 months ago it just stopped running. We were at an ATV park and my daughter was easing around the camp ground on it. She parked it and got off. It hasn't started sinse. It has no spark. I have changed the coil and tried another CDI but still nothing. I was told this motor was the same motor Yamaha put on the Kodiak 400 (No one has come out right and said it's exact) Does anyone know if this is true and if so what year? I have a 2001 Kodiak 400 4x4 with a bad "knock" that I can purchase for $300 that runs for a parts bike but I just want to make sure they are have the same motor.

it's probably a yamaha clone.

about no spark, double check and test your red "ON OFF ON" red slider switch. those tend to be a weak link in the spark circuit. you need to also check all of the quick connects on the backside of the ignition switch, the red slider switch, around the CDI/coil pack area and the stator. pull them apart, check the internal "pins" from the incoming/outgoing wires where they connect and "touch" each other. sometimes one of them will back out and not connect. no biggie, just push back in and reconnect the quick connect. report back.
