Looking for help with oil leak on 2007 Buyang 110
I think it's leaking from the crankshaft on the flywheel side. Does anyone have a procedure for replacing the seal? Or other suggestions?
Pulling the engine out is easy enough. I twisted off the lower center 6mm case bolt thinking maybe it was a gasket issue. Lesson learned, 6mm torque is less than 120 in-lb; tables like
https://www.fastenal.com/content/fed...0Fasteners.pdf are useful. So in the future I'll be splitting the case, but that's another day.

Answered this a couple of weeks ago, here it is again:-
Looks like a Honda E22 clone engine, so Honda Cub flywheel pullers should fit. The allen bolts don't have to come out unless you are replacing the one way clutch. I have used the allen screw holes holes to make a three leg puller when I couldn't get the proper one, but it is risky as you are in trouble if a thread strips.

Thanks, can you point to the other thread? But now searching for E22 will help, thanks. Somewhere I read it takes 1 qt of oil, so I drained the oil and added 1 qt. My dipstick cap is intact but the measuring guage is deteriorated away. With the 1qt, the level was right at the oil plug hole. That is higher than where any dipstick guage would have been. Just guessing but it seems the oil level would be 1/4" or more below the hole. We ran it for about an hour yesterday, and the oil leaked down maybe 1/4". It also seems to be leaking less. Could it be 1) the 1 qt was too much 2) the heat sealed up the seal a bit, or possible both? It's still leaking some, and some oil is burning off the head, but it's appear to be less. Thanks again for the e22 reference.

The info on oil capacity is all over the place. Most I found say 1QT, while one or two places say start with 0.5QT and then add to the fill mark. In my case, 1 QT is far too much as it was right up to where the oil dipstick plug goes. It's dropped itself down. This is an image of a dipstick (not mine), but what I have left is just the part circled. Everything below the circle has deteriorated. But it seems if the oil is "just touching" or a bit below, the ATV is "full".
