The quad came out great! I'm still editing up all the raw footage I took while working on the little thing.

Video #2 is up!

Can we not edit our posts?

No post editing here.. unless your a moderator..

It will be interesting to see how long this quad lasts with all the up grades you've done.. as you noticed paint on these things is horrible... Having seen powder coating booths in China I understand.. I spent some time in a factory in the same town as the TaoTao factory.. I read somewhere here that TaoTao is using the factory I was at for their youth quads now... If that is true it explains a lot... These people spent most of their time squatting on the ground pounding sub assemblies together with a hammer.. as a bonus the suppliers were not on the cutting edge of anything except the cave man era..

Hurry up with the editing would you!!

The videos are very nice and for some one who may be unsure about trying a rebuild, should be very helpful..

for me i just want to see the finished product.. soon

Seriously, take your time.. just wondering...do you spend more time filming or editing?

LOL, it's coming! I hope the videos are helpful

As for film vs edit, that's a tough call. I will say that filming this stuff EASILY doubles how long it takes me to complete a unit of work vs not filming. Then again, I really enjoy showing off some of the work I do, as well as *hopefully* inspiring other people to start their own projects.

The editing takes another big chunk of time to do, as I have to cut the videos up, clean up audio, clean up the video, try to make it all 'coherent'. If you check out some of my older videos, I used to try to do a bunch of fancy intro, titles, credits, etc - but I spent 3-4x as long editing video as I did DOING THE WORK, and I realized that's NOT why I'm putting my videos out there. I'm not interested in the fluff - I want to see some work getting done

I'm vehemently against the idea of a 'disposable' economy, so this is my small way of fighting back

That said, next video is ready (it's a short update):

Not at all! Thanks!

Yep, that's a $10 yard sale special I use for baking small parts. Very handy, especially for the little things.
