Well this opens up another can of worms. I thought I had all this nailed down in this thread below. Where it seems that the quad is a 300cc

https://atvconnection.com/forums/chi...or-co-ltd.html

Until I searched (172fmm) just now which seems to come back as a 250cc engine.

Oh lord what have I got myself into...

Now what!

It may be a Suzuki engine, just not one they currently use. I think a lot of these companies do that with older Honda and Yamaha engines too.

Well even if it is a "Suzuki" engine, the chances of it actually being built by Suzuki arn't too big.
It may be a licensed or copied design.
A notable example of such work practice are the GY6 design engines, which were originally made by Honda for the Honda Ruckus and are now widely adopted on Chinese machines.
Loncin is also a company that licenses Honda designs.
Same could perhaps apply for Suzuki.

A lot of the Chinese quads claim they have engines from makers like, Honda, Suzuki, etc. When all is said and done they are cheaply made knock-offs for the most part. Direct copy but without the machining, materials, etc. that the brand names use.

There are a few engines being made by the Chinese now.. The Yamaha 350 warrior engine was being made in China in 2008. Id guess Suzuki has a few being made there also.. I had a friend who went thru a LonCin engine factory and he said there were engines being made/assembled there for EVERY motorcycle mfgr.. not just the big 4.. I never did get to confirm that.
