Anyone put radio in Prowler?????????
I was wondering if someone had advice on how to wire a radio in the Prowler? I have had it direct wired with a alligator clamp to take on and off but have forgotten and ruined a battery. What would be the best way to do this so it runs only with ignition on? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Go to your local auto parts and get a cheap circuit test light.

Go to you local Radioshack and get some fuse taps.

And some quick disconnects.

Use the tester to find a circuit in the fuse box that is on when the key is on and off when the key is off. Make sure the fuse rating for the circuit is higher than the fuse rating for the radio.
Slide the tap over the leg of the fuse, crimp the quick disconnect to the hot wire from the radio, connect it to the tap; slide the tap/fuse back in its slot. Insulate connections from moisture and route wires properly.
NOTE Make sure the radio has its own fuse on the power wire.
