Default Textron Recalls Wildcats Due to Fire Hazard

Textron Specialized Vehicles has issued a recall of Arctic Cat ORVs with winches due to fire hazard. In the affected models, the winch solenoid located under the operator seat can overheat, posing a fire hazard:

Under the seat with no air flow, yes I can see why. Kinda like the early Polaris Rangers with the external fuel pumps under the seats that would get hot and fail.Plus never did like having an engine right under your rear end either.Seats were foil insulated but you could still feel the heat. Have a full body cab, doors and windshield and your butt got a little warm.People didn't complain in the winter though..

Heck, o.p.t , I was thinking about putting a seat warmer on my AC Diesel for plowing. Actually, the solenoid for my 5,000 lb winch is under the seat...... So I may already have one!
