HELP !! 03' 375 won't start - I messed up :(
Was jump starting (with a portable power jumper) my 03' 375 Arctic Cat after a long winter and battery was dead. I KNOW BETTER, but wasn't paying attention and I crossed terminals (red on black, black on red) - my portable jumper alarmed and I disconnected it after only a few seconds.....too late!!!!
Now I get NO response when trying to use the key automatic starter. I CAN pull start it just fine, and after a few seconds, lights work, etc. BUT, when turning key, no light, no sound - nothing. I checked the fuses under the seat (next to the battery) and they were all fine.
I am pretty sure I either A) burned out the solonoid fuse B) burned out the solonoid or C) burned out the starter. Anyone have this experience and know what I should do. I would rather try and fix this than bring it to the shop if possible.
thanks in advance - Nordi

My guess is the weakest link went first which would be the starter selenoid fuse. That is the 30amp. If you follow the positive wire from your battery or the large wire from your starter you should find the little relay. It is usually located under the right rear fender if you are sitting on the machine.
If that is fins cross off (A) on your list above and goto (B and C) I might also add a (D) check your wiring harness to make sure you did not melt and ground out a wire reversing the leads. Otherwise you are spot on just get-R-done
