Default Arctic cat problem

I have an Arctic Cat 700 EFI and the screen flickers and then everything on it is displayed. It does not go to the normal screen where it shows the hours and mileage. Any ideas?

did you try unhooking the battery for 30 secs, or unplugging the screen for awhile

No I didn't. The battery was dead so I charged it and then it started doing this. I will try disconnecting the battery and if that doesn't work I will disconnect the screen.

Thanks

For WHATEVER reason, you also have to pull the green 30amp fuse when you disconnect the battery.
I can't be totally sure but it re-sets the gauge but re-setting the ecm internal bkup memory. JUST recharging the battery and disconnecting it briefly doesn't seem to work.

This is a very common issue with the digital gauges on AC's and fairly simple to resolve. My suggestion to you is that if your going to let your quad sit for long periods of time, buy a $20 - 1.5amp battery maintainer and keep your battery charged.

good luck.

When I got mine recently, the battery was dead and I recharged it. It never held a good charge and the display flickered on and off....

When I replaced the battery, it went away....

i may have to replace my battery as none of the aforementioned things are working. the battery isn't the best and probably needs replaced anyways.
