Default spring adjustment

07 arctic cat 500 4x4. im having 1 heck of a time compressing the front spring so i can adjust the shock tension.any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks

jack it up, tires off ground and spray WD*40 on it I use channel locks to turn the adjuster, no need to compress the spring....LOTS of WD*40

If you need to you can use a ratched strap if you are careful of slightly compress the springs so you can turn the adjustment with a pair of channel locks.

Also if you live near a Harbor Freight store they sell for like $12 a sping compression tool that will take the place of the ratchet strap but is much safer.
