I have a 400 Artic Cat 4X4 that will run as long as the starter in engaged
but as soon as you release the starter button it shuts down just like you turned off the ignition

just to test I held the button longer and revved up the engine
it sounded fine ( except for the starter noise ) but again as soon as I released the starter button it dies

can anyone help ??

does any one have a wireing diagram ??

since the starting system should be completely seperate from the ignition system I pulled the wire from the solinoid that runs to the starter to isolate the starting system

still when I touch the wire to the battery with the key on
it will start but as soon as I remove the cable from the battery
it still turns off just like I turn off the key
