the clutch kit doesnt really give it more power as it just gives more of a better throttle response and higher RPMs at a lower speed. Which would be good for over size tires and mud,ect... stuff that bogs the bike down. you could look into something like a copperhead by vdi. not sure if they have them for a 500 though.

ive heard getting an exhaust and k&n air filter does hardly anything to these bikes. Most people ive talked too said it was a waste of money, unless you want to rebuild the whole engine. otherwise i dont know of anything else. the clutch kit will feel like theres low end power if thats what you want.

My own personal experience with installing a filter, jet and performance exhausts on my dirtbikes and ATVs over the last 30 years is that there is a noticeable increase in power.

Plus, if you are going to pull the head or split the cases to do more serious engine mods, you will certainly want to have them at that point...a hotter cam and more compression will net big results as well, but they won't be worth what you spent without the engine being able to breathe better.

I guess if that's not enough you could consult with Johnny Knoxville about where to attach some rockets...lol

Default Big Bore Kit

I have found one company that has a 581cc big bore kit for the A/C 500 with the suzi motor. I will probably buy it and their cam kit w/the valve springs next month and go thru my motor. I'll let you know when I do. http://www.fourstroketech.net has the kit.

I figure that with a speedwerx speed kit, a big bore kit, a cam, and some hi-po valve springs and head work said atv would kick azz.
http://hotseatperformance.com has the speed kit .

You should check 'em out.

Well a cheap way, besides what has been already mentioned is to put a bigger main jet in your carb (if so equiped) and air jet your air-box to get more air in there to maintain the correct air/fuel mixture. Not sure how to do this if you have fuel injection - but you get more power by increasing the air and fuel.
