My bike sucked up some water. Drained fuel bowl. Startes fine. Have to press throttle slowly or it will cut out. Plug is black, haven't replaced it yet.

Just got the same bike and am wondering how deep you took it before you got water? Or was it just splashing through stuff not so deep. I am not to fond of the MP snorkel, but I guess the intake is right behind the grill. Prob not the best place to put it.

definitely change the oil. You may still have some water in the gas, try running an additive to help clear it out. Clean and dry and reoil filter.

Make sure to use Dielectric grease on all your electrical connections, especially your plug wire and ignition

Water was 3' more or less. Oil was fine, drained gas and added Heat and octane booster. Waiting for plug to come in to change. Never had any problems with this bike. I backed in water to pull someone else out and mine died. I keep front end up when going thru deep holes.

Still having problems with my ac 500. Changed the plug and still cuts out on quick throttle responce. Could it be the coil or cid breaking down.
