Default leaking gas line

Just wondering if it is possible that a loose gas line at the carb could cause air intake and in turn a lean condition and then cause the engine to overheat. I started to take my 300 4x4 apart and once I had the body off, I noticed the gas line leaking at the carb. I thought I was going to have to do a carb kit but not anymore. I am also going to look at the oil pump once it warms up

Todays gas will eat up fuel lines and carb .replace lines and clean carb make sure that you reset you're carb at 2 1/4 turns and once in a while I use av gas with a cup of mystery oil . one problem is av gas runs so good you wont want anything else
