This week a reader asks what ever happened to the 450cc American-made race ATV he heard about a few years back. We assure him he didn't dream the whole thing up:

Wasn't the Polaris Outlaw 450 MXR American made? They actually made them too, not just prototypes.

Cannondale used to make sport quads as well. I think they were the first to put fuel injection in a sport quad.

Yea that's when Polaris owned 25% of Ktm and they stuck that bad boy engine in their frames.They're no longer associated with them as Ktm bought their shares back.

Loudest atv on mechanical noise I've ever heard.Louder than the Husaberg dirt bikes we sold. We took one in on trade and it took forever to sell it. Ran like a scalded dog though.

I forgot all about Cannondale. They looked fast even when they were sitting still.
