Default good news

This christmas i got a brand new 1985 200s engine for my three wheeler. it has never left the show room and was maybe tested for 1 hour. i put it in and start it up and it runs good, did alittle carb adjusting. it runs strong with lots of power. my question is how long do you have to break it in for? 2 tanks of gas? and when i shifted with my old motor i pushed down for gears but this one i have to pull up to go into gear. did they change that in 1985?
thanks
melvin

Hi Melvin. Good score on the new motor!
I cant say for sure, but I think they may mention the break in schedule in my owners manual. As you know, mine is an 84 200M but the engines are similar and the schedule should be the same. I will check it out tonight and let you know.
