You did a great job restoring that X. I'm impressed.
I'm still working on mine. It was a total wreck having been rolled. Thanks for ebay. Parts that are in good shape, are hard to find.
This is my first post. Back in the 80's my son and I raced on the circuit in Oklahoma.
I don't have any really close up pics, but here is one. Mine is closest to the camera

TY guys.. I like that sx not used to seeing them with a sand dune tire thou.. But looks very nice.. That is the one that got rolled? And yeah i know about the parts, some are easy to find and alot are so hard to find it's not funny. But craigslist and ebay both are good parts places.. Dennis kirk and Rocky mountain are both some of my closest friends now thou.. lol..

Yeah, that the one that was rolled. It had the front forks smashed up to the frame, all the plastic broken, some weird rebar welded luggage rack on the back, but it started and the tranny worked.

Had to go through three sets of forks from ebay before finding a set that wasn't junk.

When not at the dunes, I have a set of wolly buggers on powder coated rims for daily ride. I live in the country, so, if the weather is nice, I'll ride down to the river, or down the road to the mailbox pretty regular.

I did the same thing with the forks as well i have several front ends now. But glad i switched and went to the 200x front end so much better handling and stance.

Thats a great idea converting to the 200X front end.
The disc brakes would really help.
I still have the drums, and had some brake fade a couple of weeks ago at the dunes.
I was playing cat and mouse with some guys on 250R's.
I can't imagine why
I think I need some more HP before going after them again.

whether you still have that or not 4 years later - very nice- I'm sure it must be the same one on youtube. Since mine now needs mudflaps and has a Maier rear fender. is that 1/8" rubber you used? thanx, crossy

I still have it, and still ride it almost daily. Going to pick up a new battery today. The old one just won't keep a charge.
The mud flaps I have are still the factory issue. Can't believe they have lasted this long.

Hi iamnotthstguy,

I have the same 250sx you have and I really want to change the frontend like you did. Can you please tell me all parts I need to Change to the 200x front setup and the 350x light setup? Also, I looked everywhere for a 350x white light shroud but still can't find one. Any help would be great. Thanks!
