Smile honda 110 atc carb. problem

My 110 sat for 10 years and when i put gas in it the gas would keep coming out of the little rubber hose on the bottom of the carburetor.
I took the carb apart and cleaned it but i have the same problem even after 2 more cleanings. Do i need a rebuild, new carb or some adjustment neeeded? Thanks for any info.

First check to make sure the drain screw at the bottom of the carb is seated all the way in.

Is the float plastic or metal? I can't remember if the float height is adjustable on these...

How exactly did you go about cleaning the carb? Is there a lot of rust in the gas tank?

If it sat for that long it wouldn't be a bad idea to rebuild it. You can order a rebuild kit on ebay.

To be honest I wouldn't even bother with it. You can pick up a brand new carb on ebay for roughly $35. A rebuild kit is going to run you about $20 so for a little more you can get a whole new carb.

If you go with an ebay carb, make sure to pull the bowl off and make sure the jets are tight...other than that I have had good luck with them. I have one on my 110 and one on the 200s.

Being that these bikes have a metal gas tank I run an inline filter in the fuel line to help catch any debris that can result from rust in the tank.

Good luck reviving the 110!

Thanks a million for your reply. The drain screw was open and letting the gas drain, i must have opened it to drain the carb when i put it away and left it open. The gas tank is good and i cleaned the carb with carb cleaner. Without your post i was stuck, thanks again.
