Default My custom rebuilt jon boat

18 ft lowe , inherited the boat gutted it and redid the whole thing, turned out pretty good.

wow, you did an awesome job on that. My dad would be drooling... How much did it cost you to refurbish it like that? well done!

I got roughly $500 into it, the carpet was the biggest expense at about $175 and the trolling motor i bought used for $175 inside framing wood i had and 4 sheet of plywood i bought. and hardware ect.

Old thread but that is a great job! Been thinking about doing something similar myself if I can ever find a cheap REGISTERED jon. You have any more pics of the framing? How much you think it weighs?

havent looked here in a bit, as far as weight its pretty heavy it deffinetly needs a bigger motor right now it has a 25 hp, i think 40 hp would make it a bit better, i dont have any pics of the frame work really, the only framing i did was the rod storage on the side and the front deck, the flooring is screwed to the cross member on the floor, i probably wont be adding a bigger motor for another year most of the lakes i fish are kind of small. i used 3/4 treated on the flooring and 3/8 treated on the rod storage.
