Tryin to see if I can get my Islander to come up....mine was pretty much restored when I got her about 4 yrs ago. Original owner thought engine was bad so he let it set for years, 2nd owner bought it and found the distributor gear was gone. Replaced with electronic ignition and redid the interior and seats. Then his wife wanted a bigger boat so I bought the Islander. First I/O
all my other boats over 50 yrs were OB's.

Very very sharp boat....and I believe the older Starcrafts are of good value....and a bit of demand. I imagine you purchased for a steal..... I want one....

Well the ice is all melted away and I see people have started taking their boats out on the water so I figured it was time for me to do some boat shopping.

I'm looking for a 19-22ft bass boat making over 200hp for now. I'll likely be buying new but if I can find the right used one, I'd be open to it.

So, can anyone tell me what I should be looking for, what the respectable brands are, what engine option I'd be best going with and how much I should be expecting to pay? I've never had a boat so I know absolutely nothing, but I know I drool from the mouth when I see a nice shiny bass boat out on the water lol.
Under 20 grand you will be able to get in the cool boat range used..
Depends on what you want. Speed and options cost.
I don't run much over 50. 74 stripped down just me in the boat, GF set a limit and she is with me most of the time.

My thing is hole shot so you tune your boat by prop to what you want.
