I have found two atv's that appear to be in real good condition the same owner has both a Fourtrax 300 and a yamaha Timberwolf. I like sport riding and I currently own a 2000 Lakota which I like very much. Which one would you buy and why? Thanks for the help!!!!!!!

I would go with the Timberwolf. It is the sportier of the two. I had one and liked it very much. It was great on the trails and it will slide the back end around like a sport quad. Even for a 250 it is pretty quick and it has very precise steering with a light feel. It jumps decent for a sport/utility. Overall I would say it is better than the Honda in most areas.

The VW Bug is also a #1 seller of all time. I wouldn't want to buy one of those if I was looking for a used car.
Ride them both and you decide.

The yamaha is the sportier of the two,but taht doesnt make it the best , Rammer is right you should ride them both and make up your own mind based on your overall needs.

The Timberwolf has an extremly high center of gravity. Stand on the side of the machine grab the racks and lift and push. It will want to tip over very easily. Do the same thing with the 4trax. Now picture your weight on the seat going across an off caster hill. Which would you want to be on.
