hey whats up everybody? i'm in the market to buy a quad. my bro used to own a 400ex(b4 the z came out), and when i rode it, i felt likei needed more power behind me. im 5'9" and weigh about 140 so im a pretty small guy but the ex felt just too weak when i rode it. if any of u have any good suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. layta

The Z is a 400EX with a way better motor! It needs a K&N, vented airbox lid, and a pipe to get more low end. I would only get the EX if money is a primary factor.

How many quads have you ridden? If you haven't ridden many and you get on an ex it shouldn't feel slow to you. Really even if you have ridden quads all your life if you haven't ridden two stroke sport quads then the ex should seem pretty powerful to you. I like the z better myself also but the ex isn't a mile behind the z at all, both are great trail and race quads.

Oh, also you've already got the z as your icon on here so you might as well match it with one in your garage.

Right now, I'd say to buy the Z400 as long as Suzuki has taken care of a couple problems. (frame & axle)
