Default What quad? Low cost, manual, fits 6'3' person? Help!

Hey guys,

I'm having some serious problems trying to find the right quad to purchase. Here's some things I'm looking for and maybe you guys can help point me in the right direction.

1) I'm 6'3", and not sure I'd fit on a Blaster per say.
2) Power is not an issue to me, however I'd like a sport quad
3) I've owned many motorcycles, and would like a manual clutch.
4) Lowest possible cost new, or 04' discounted model, etc.

I know that might be a lot to ask, and I think I'm getting closer to finding one. So far I figure the Blaster or the Honda 250EX. The blaster would be so perfect if it was just a little bigger. I don't feel like I'd fit on that thing… HELP! : )

The 250ex is terribly underpowered and isnt a manual, its an auto clutch. It's also very small.

If you are comfortable on a blaster, I would choose that. If not look at the 300ex.

You need to get to a dealership and sit on these atvs so that you can get a feel for them. Try to test drive them if your dealer will let you.

Thanks, maybe I'll look again at the Blaster. I'm just not sure it's made for a big guy. Don't want to look like a circus clown...haha!

i would recommend at least a 400ex for a 6'3" person

you will be knocking knees on a blaster (into the fenders and handlebars)

400ex's are fairly cheap too

I wasnt sure how low of a price he was looking for or if he wanted to have new or not, so I left the warrior and 400ex out of the picture. These machines will only be found at low prices when they are a couple years old.

We'll If the 400EX is the right size, I might have no choice but to buy somthing similar. I think it's $4500 MSRP.

you could actually get a really good deal on a 1 or 2 year old 400ex with low hours,,,like maddog said.

about what a new blaster would cost

the 400ex is a reliable/simple bike too

cheapest 400 class bike

Now what if I was to say, forget it, and I'll take a semi auto clutch. Keep in mind I'm just looking for somthing cheap to tool around with....do a little ditch riding. How about the Suzuki Z250? Too small still?

Raptor 350 3999 MSRP 05
Blaster 200 3299 MSRP 05

Honda 250EX 3499 MSRP for 04, 50 bucks more for 05
Honda 300EX 4499 MSRP for 04, 100 bucks more for 05
Honda 400EX 5299 MSRP for 04, 500 bucks more for 05

Suzuki Z250 3899 MSRP 05
Suzuki Z400 5799 MSRP 05

Polaris Phoenix 200 2,999 MSRP 05
Polaris Trailblazer 250 3,499 MSRP 05
Polaris Trail Boss 330 3,799 MSRP 05

Now you can get most of these atvs for well under msrp, but it gives you an idea where they start and what they cost in relation to each other.
