All I can say is make sure you test drive it before you buy it. If you are buying from a dealership see if they have a maintanence record for it.

Ryan

PS There are several yamahas that could fit you needs well.

The reason I said rubicon was b/c it is not belt drive. Almost all the bikes out there today are belt drive. Being a big guy and belt drives dont mix. You'll be changing belts twice or three times a year. Polaris, yamaha, suzuki, kaws are almost all belt drive.

Dwpalmer is wrong about the belt drives! Don't worry about this at all. Yes most other quads have belts but you will NOT have to change them out every year. In fact you may go 5+ years without even having to have one replaced so this is not something you should even think about.

The reason I wouldn't buy a Rubicon or Rincon is because they are way to much money for what you get and are under powered compaired to most other quads in their class.

Since you are on a tight budget I wouldn't worry about much other than sticking with the best 500cc machine you can afford. Good luck.
