Really don't like the idea of wearing a helmet but for safety's sake I cant justify flying down a dirt road at 45 without wearing one, so I'm wondering what's a good helmet to get for someone who doesn't want a helmet on at all. Light weight would be a priority as well as open face.

Best advice I can give for a helmet is to go to a bike/atv dealer and try a few on. That way you know how it fits and how heavy/light it is.

Then go online and get a better price.

Unless the dealer has some incredible discount going.

Check out a few makers online and see what they're making them out of now. Some of the lower priced units aren't made out of the fancy stuff, so they do have a bit more weight to them.

Another way to save money is shop the closeout sections. If you don't mind last years style, you can get a brand new helmet at a really good price.
