Default Trade in

hi guys I recently saw a 05 Honda Rubicon 500 4x4 for sale for $2300 and the seller is willing to trade atvs and i was wondering what y'all think about this my atv is a 2000 Kawasaki Prairie 400 2x4 new ECU in 2014 Carb rebuilt in 2014 and just recently and new suspension boot, brakes flushed out, radiator fluid flushed out, new radiator stand and i believe thats it but here is the posting let me know what y'all think is it worth going for?? 2005 Honda rubicon 500 4x4

I personally wouldn't buy a quad with the relocated radiator, etc. because it's probably been used harder than the average quad. If I did get a mudder I'd want more power than you can get from a Rubicon.

That is a great price though, people usually want more than that. A quad with a lot of extras and a low price is usually a red flag for me because it usually means there's a hidden problem somewhere. If the quad is really such a "beast" why would they ever want to sell it? I think jumbofrank hit the nail on the head with lack of power. With the bigger tires and heavier wheels and all the extra weight of the other stuff, that 500 engine doesn't have enough oomph to handle it. The guy at work I sold my Rancher to rides with a guy with a Rubicon set up similarly to this and he says the bigger tires really bog it down. He's broken driveline parts because it couldnt handle the stress of the bigger tires.

Put me in the suspicious category. For someone set up to mud, why is he interested in your 2wd machine?
