Utility Quad for Hauling and Brush Hoging
I have 2 KQ 500's and they are a little under powered for hauling the brush hog (550lb) up the WV hillside, they make it but I know I am putting a little too much strain on them. Always running in Low and 4WD. I have a Polaris range 900 as well but you cannot see or hear the brush hog when pulling behind the Polaris so I am looking for a larger quad.
What opinions are there for a quad good for hauling and towing? I have good impression of the KQ so I could easily grab a 750 KQ, but want to know if there are better options out there.

I use my 2001 Arctic Cat 500 manual shift to yard out logs! It's tough as hell. It's nice to have 10 speeds fwd and 2 speeds in reverse. I've tuned mine a bit , have a race cam and 5 degree advance timing key. Top speed is only 55 mph at 8,000+ rpm it might go faster, but 8,000 + makes me nervous. So, maybe think a manual shift older model. 7,000 + miles on mine. It's not about hp or top speed, having 10 speeds, big advantage!

Any quad should be ran in low when pulling a brush hog. Its not like you can mow at 30 mph. Anything above probably 7-8 mph and the mower would do a terrible job. Heaving towing should always be done in low or if using a manual shift quad, in 1st gear. You said you have a Ranger 900 but for some reason you can't see the mower behind it? A couple of side-view mirrors added to the Ranger I would think would remedy that. You'd be able to see the mower without even having to turn around and look back at it.
