Where do you live maybe we can do some riding if I buy it. I also have a couple of Xr650r Honda dirt bikes.

I live in the Front Range mountains, so on the other side of the Rockies... assuming you live somewhere within a fairly short distance to GJ?

I am not opposed to heading out your way, the Flat Tops come to mind and Glenwood Springs is less than 3 hours drive for me.

I personally don't want tracks or a trailer/cart and could get a new ATV for $8,000. If you really think you'll use the tracks it may be worth it because tracks are really expensive. A bigger engine would be good on an ATV with tracks because they're so heavy but a 550 would be good for any other use. Like RedRocket204 said make sure you ride with someone else who has tracks. If you get stuck with tracks you're really stuck and it would take someone else with tracks to get to you.

I bought it I am so happy with it I went riding around my 7 acres with 4-5 feet of a snow and it was amazing. I went through and over snow covered boulders that I couldn't dream would be possible. Not the fastest with the tracks but it's amazing it will make you wet in the pants. The guy I bought it from was a stand up guy and feel like I made a friend. I ended up getting it for 6,400 I explained to him his price was a little high and cash is king. Red rock T thank you for the help I'm in love.

Congratulations. Sounds like you did well with the seller even though he listed 'firm' on his sale.

The Grizzly is a very fun bike and you will be surprised what it will climb... they should have called them Mountain Goats, just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Congratulations on the new Grizzly. They're good quads. As you found out "firm" isn't always firm if you have a handful of cash.
