01 Traxter 500 rear end dismantal
Hi everyone, I just picked up a 2001 Traxter 500 for $500 and there is a noise in the rear end, we are pretty sure it is the rear drive axle universal joint that hooks to the transmssion. I am wondering how to drop the rear end, I see the two large bolts that the swing arm attaches to the frame but I am used to working on hondas and I know you need a special toothed socket to grab onto the toothed nut for them. Just wondering if those bolts are it or if there is something on the inside of that. Thanks.

All fixed.... Well ordering parts
Gotten the rear end off, and pulled it back. Took diff casing apart and found out it wasn't the $400 gear thank god, it is the main drive bearing coming out of the rear diff... And the whole diff was filled with water, it shows signs of total neglect and it wasn't filled with oil in a long time. Should have the parts by next week and it should be on the road shortly.
The wireing issue was fixed, I spent a few hours testing and ordered a shop manual from Can-Am
