My dealer said they won't be available en mass until January or later and there will probably be limits on how many are shipped to each dealer and that they will probably be pre-sold before they even get put on display. My dealer is a small local shop and sold the LE Outlander before it ever arrived and from what I'm hearing the LE are almost ALL being sold before they even arrive.

Last year BRP underestimated the demand for the 800, they simply didn't make enough the first production year to keep up with demand, Rotax couldn't even produce enough engines. From what I've been told they don't want this to happen again and want to make sure they have sufficient inventory on hand before they are even released to the general public. I have no doubt the showroom model is already being mass produced as we speak. They may do a one around just to get the buzz out there and to get people to check them out.

IF this model does well(I think it will be a home run for BRP) then within a year I'd expect to see it copied by either Suzuki, Kawi or A/C. They already have a competitive platform in the BF/Prarie line and already have a similar set up in the KFX700.
