Question 04 outlander high range popping/jerking problem

i have a 04 330 outlander 2x4 that rins fine and smooth in low and reverse,
but in high range it makes a loud popping noise and jerks(like a chain would slip on a sprocket driven unit.) you can drive it but it sounds and feels like something bad is going on,so it just gets rode in low range for now.any ideas as to what the problems may be would be greatly appreciated.

Your shift linkage is not correct, and you are popping in & out of high range
