Question Is Bombardier Traxter for DS650 a good trade?

I had a guy call me asking if I wanted to trade, here is what I would trade.

http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/rvs/2833142806.html

And he would trade,

Bombardier ds 650 with:
  • Racing Cams
  • Bigger Carb, TM 45
  • Waco Clear Radiator Hoses
  • Ported Intake Manifold
  • New Clutch Pack installed a couple of years ago
  • Water Pump
  • Full Ron Woods Race Exhaust
  • Ron Woods Rev Box(CDI)
  • Nerf Bars
  • Devoure Flame Grafix Kit on it which covers all the plastics
  • Two sets of tires, 20" for the track woods, and 18" for the ice studded.
  • Stock Carb
  • JE Piston 11:1 compression head gasket
  • Spare parts for the carb

He estimates the value at around $3000, I have no idea if people would pay that for that quad. It comes with the piston and head gasket because he was going to stick that in for racing but never got around to it. I don't know the year or the condition but I will find out when he gets here tomorrow. The two KBB values on his quad is around $1,400 and $2,000. These values are slightly under the values for my quad. Would you guys do this trade? I would really enjoy riding this quad for a while but I would like the resale value to be about the same as my quad now.

Thanks for the input!

Sounds like a great deal to me. Find out what year the DS650 is. Sounds to me that this guy put alot of money into it. Just make sure it is not all beat to hell. You could have all the mods in the world and if it is beat to hell it's worth nothing in my book.

Sounds like a twin to mine, only mine had dual carbs on it when I got it, I gave 2000 for it and traveled 180 miles to pick it up, so I figured I had around $85 or so in fuel going and getting it and I was completely thrilled with the deal I got. If it's not all tore up, go for it if you are looking for a sport quad. The only complaint I have with the DS650 is it don't have reverse.
