Can-am MaxXT 500 tune up
Picked up a 2007 Can-am Max XT last weekend. My first ATV. Has 2k km on it. The owner was an older gent. It is in great condition. He suggested I should change all the fluids out as he did it last about 2 years ago.
What would you folks recommend I change out/do, fluids, filters, greasing etc. to tune it up.
I find the shifter a bit sticky at times I guess this should just be lubricated?
I found the steering heavier than I expected. I've only driven a smaller Yamaha Kodiak 350 before and it was more nimble due to its smaller size but I opted this route for a 2Up machine so I could safely drive my kids around the farm and still have rack space; so no regrets here. Just curious. Do these units not have power steering?
Any particular problems with these units that I should proactively address? I've heard something about frames bending and what not. Not sure if this is much of a concern for me as I'm primarily using it on the farm and then on an odd hunting trip?
Appreciate any input.
