Hello I'm going to look at a 2008 outty 800
I'm going to look at a out lander 800 but I have a few concerns this is what he said it has it has a hmf pipe and power commander programmer, rad relocate, snorkeled, satv arched a arms and power steering. Qsc and STM primary and secondary clutches.29.5 Highlifter outlaw tires on sti hd beadlocks. Boss noss 20hp shot nitrous not used yet. Water temp gauge. Fender flairs, renegade bars and lock on grips. Billet shifter gas cap brake leaver and master cylinder cover, atr spine, highlifter hd tie rods . Lots of money in this bike clutches are set up perfect . So yea I'm worryed about the 29s are they hard on parts since I will be doing a nice bit of trail riding and how do they ride yes I know they are a mud tire but are they horrible for hard pack i will be doing a good bit of beach and trail riding with some mud riding is this quad to much ?

Outlaws vibrate a bit on hard pack from what I've heard. I don't have them so can't share personal likes or dislikes. It sounds like it's set up well for the modifications that were made. I'd ask the owner if he has the original tires and rims if you're that concerned about the ride with the Highlifters. When I see a mod list that long I tend to not want to buy that quad. It it's set up for tough use like mud bogs, it was probably used quite a bit in mud. Just my own prejudice there.

Can-ams do tend to be the most expensive used machines out there. Honestly, none of them are cheap new. I remember when you could buy the top of the line 4x4 utility machines for $6000, now its $10,000 or more. A new Outlander 1000 is more like $13,000. You can buy a really nice used 4x4 truck for that price. Or a brand new compact car.

Sounds like its a full decked out Mud contest runner, hopped up parts ,snorkels ,29" Tires and relocated Rad does not make the price go up for me when buying use but it does the opposite effect.
Id take a untouched 2008 stock plain Jane 800 that some weekend city suburban trail rider with his wife on the back before that.
Don't let the "XT" fool you, all that is are nice tires rims and bush guards which a person on Ebay can get a much better deal on then letting the manufacturer do it for you.

It's too bad Can-Am doesn't make a "Value Line" 650 or 800 like they offer with the 450 and 500.
