Buying a new Can-AM

Buying a new Can-AM
The ATV bug bit me and I bought a 2016 Outlander 650 XT 2-up. Absolutely love it! Now my wife wants her own. Tried to convince her the $3000 cheaper Polaris 570 2-up would be fine, but darned if she didn't throw my own arguments against the Polaris right back at me when I convinced her I NEEDED the Can-Am. She says the Polaris looks wimpy and wants her own Outlander 650XT 2-up. I'm very OK with this except for the price.
Our local dealer doesn't deal, they quote MSRP and have a take it or leave it attitude. Won't even throw in free stuff.
Checked the other two dealers in our area and they were asking $400 more so my local dealer has the best price...but
Is that pretty much it? Take it or leave it?

Why would both of you need a 2 up model? Most of the time people buy a 2 up model to avoid buying 2 atvs. I assume multiple 2 up models to haul your kids around? As far as selling for msrp, dealers where I live generally advertise models on sale all the time. $1000 or more off msrp is pretty common.

None of the nearby dealers have the L model, only the XT. Time is also against me. My wife is super frugal so getting the green light for a purchase like this is huge and I don't want the window of opportunity to close. Usually I operate under the forgiveness is easier than permission principle so to get a toy and not be in trouble for days after is nearly paradise. Plus her parents are coming to visit in a couple weeks so she wants to take them out. Between that and the kids, that's why we need 2-ups.
Searched local inventory, found a 2-up 570 Max DPS Viper for $10,000 but no winch or steel bumpers. Dealer also has a 2-up 570 Max XT but it's only $200 less than the 650 Max XT at my local dealer.
Well....showed her a pic of the 570 Viper and she said no. Doesn't look as cool and rugged as the Max XT.
Joe my sales rep just texted that the matte black/octane blue 650 Max XT is ready to go. Guess I'm headed to town....

Around here there are nearly as many ATV/UTV's on the road as cars so demand is high.
Northern Idaho is awesome

That 450 looks great!
Think my window closed. We need a new roof on the house and the first quote was $17,000. I'll burn the house down before I pay that much but now spousal unit is freaking out. There was a huge wind storm this last winter that damaged a lot of roofs. Roofing companies have so much work they can just throw out insane numbers. Our roof wasn't damaged and isn't leaking its just old. I can wait a year or two.
I can't buy until Friday and I think I'll make the hour drive to the other dealer and check out the 570 in person. Discovered I can add the steel XT bumpers and winch for way less than the cost of the XT version.
I'll take my trailer, just in case.....
