Need Help Identifying please
I just bought an atv from my daughter and her boy friend for the sole purpose of helping them out. However it needs extensive work and since I am a disabled veteran I have loads of time on my hands so this could be a great project to keep the mind and hands active.
I believe it is a Chinese 4 wheeler but have no clue as to
age
manufacture
engine size
ect.
was told it was a 250cc but I am really not sure.
I have enclosed some pictures to help identify the make and year.
and the only numbers I can find on the engine are below
Engine right side lower forward of oil dipstick
line 1- gy6
line 2 - 0 751
I still have not found a vin tag or serial on it
Yes I am aware it is ugly and needs tons of mechanical, body and paint work to say the least. but like I said it will be a good project to keep my mind and hands active.
Any information that can be provided on this atv will truly be appreciated
thanks
Jon

thanks for the 2 links I am certain they will come in very handy as I am planning on going through every thing and making sure it is 100% correct when it is complete.
If anyone else can provide me more information
such as make
correct CCs
and any additional information it will be greatly appreciated.
I have done mechanics most of my life but never on motorcycles or atvs mainly
automobiles small engines and aircraft so I am ready to dive in this project
first real question though.
it was missing the spark plug wire (I have to get one for it)
obviously one end will hook to the spark plug and I assume the other end to the coil however I have no clue what the coil looks like on this engine or if it is even there.
Is there a Mapquest to the coil location?

after further searching I found a second set of numbers on the engine
WG1P57qmj if I managed to decifer this number correctly I have a
1 cylinder horizontal engine with a .57 bore cooling is forced air type is motorcylce and it is a 150cc (no idea what the WG is for) can anyone please verify this is correct.
also I believe the frame and body to be a baja ba150. if anyone can confirm this that would be great as well then I will have a starting point to ask questions from.
if the second number on the engine between the * is need please let me know i believe it to be a serial or maybe a manufacture # for more specific information
thanks
