Bike ran great 4-5 times then sit for roughly a year. Currently turning over but not hitting at all. Was hoping to get maybe the first 10 things i should try.

Things Ive tried:
Start directly from solenoid
Drained gas, cleaned card, float works, replaced jets
Tried using starter fluid
Plug had very little spark, so will replace tomorrow
Currently using old battery and connecting to larger car battery via jumper cables???

Also picked up 2 nearly identical quads as parts, so I have multiple parts

Son has been very patient but running out of hope so please any help is greatly appreciated.

was the spark plug wet with gasoline? get the NGK spark plug and go with that for now. it's ok to jump the quad with a car battery. test for spark before installing the new plug, once you verified good spark, install and crank. report back. you're on the right track with your methodology of troubleshooting.
