I need help trying to find out how to tell if my battery for my atv is good I charged it last night went to put on my atv and nothing haappened so I took off all cables to the batttery and I took off the cell cap and there just alittle bit of water or what ever the maufactor uses for the battery a little help plz

 

your battery acid/water level should be up to the line that the manufacturer has put on the side. after you charge the battery, connect your ohm meter/voltmeter to it and see if it is at least 12 volts. connect the battery and check again, crank it and check it while cranking. if you connect it and you show 12-12.5 volts, and nothing happens, then we need to look at the inline fuse, if applicable. if equipped, it should be a small red wire coming off of the positive side of the battery terminal wiring. with the switch on, left handlebar brake lever set, the red slider kill switch in the "RUN" position, it should crank, if not, try to jump the solenoid (starter relay) with a screwdriver to see if it cranks. make sure the neutral switch is working. a bunch of these are safety interlocks (if equipped). if you have plenty of voltage and all of these conditions are met, your solenoid may be defective. but let's check out all of these items first. report back with details. thanks.
